I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Elementary Education from Colby College and went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis. After two years of direct services in child welfare, I launched what has grown into a 25-year career in nonprofit management.
After program directorships in St. Louis and San Diego, I moved to New York City and secured my first senior management role at Catholic Charities of Brooklyn and Queens, overseeing all youth and family programs within the agency’s Brooklyn West region. After five years, I served as the first Deputy Program Officer for Education and Employment Services at the Henry Street Settlement on Manhattan’s Lower East Side for twelve years. I was then recruited to become Commonpoint Queens’ first Chief Program Officer in 2017 and Seneca Family of Agencies’ first Chief Program Officer in 2021. Between these four organizations, I have worked with a broad array of programs, providing leadership in employee development, data-informed program design and implementation, and fundraising.
